Hi,
I'm trying to do a very simple workflow on a List. The workflow is just supposed to email someone that a new or modified list item requires their attention. The workflow type is Sharepoint 2013. It is set to fire automatically when a list item is created or updated. I believe I've installed the workflow bits correctly...then again, why would the workflow fail...so I'm evidently doing something wrong but am at a loss to see where. This is the error associated with the canceled workflow:

No email is sent, and the workflow fails every time with this. The workflow was not created with a system account and it's not being run from one. The workflow management site has https and http enabled, ports 12290 and 12291 respectively as the port bindings. Workflow manager and manager client installed with no issues and the Register-SPWorkflowService shell config command for workflow configuration was done without incident. I can also see and create Sharepoint 2013 workflows in Sharepoint Designer. But this first, simple workflow fails with this error every time, and all it's trying to do is send a simple email.
Not sure where to start with a diagnosis. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
