hopefully you can help me with my checkout problem...
Software:
Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0
Error:
It is not possible to check out files from a document library – so versioning is not possible!
I. click the checkout option on a Word-Doc
II. WSS asks me if I want to download a copy to my draft folder
III. I accept and the following error message occurs...
Error Message:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
IV. nothing happens
>>> If I click on a file (without the checkout option) it opens regular and gives me the options edit/read <<<
I think it is not the problem of the client site because checkout works on another internal Server:
Server 1 with WSS it works
Server 2 with WSS it does not work
If you have any ideas do not hesitate to post them!
